NAME
This semi-military outfit shall be called, known and address as NATIONAL CADET CORPS (NIGERIA)(IMO STATE) (hereinafter referred to as CADET CORPS)(X COY).

DEFINITION
The NATIONAL CADET CORPS (NIGERIA) shall be a Non-political, Non-religious, Non- secretive, Non-profit oriented and Uniformed Youth Organization which shall be responsible for the coordination of the activities of its Officers and Members with a link to relevant agencies.  

LEGISLATION
The legislative power of the body is gotten from 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria article 220. Section 1 and 2.This reads in part.
i.                    The federation shall establish and maintain adequate facilities for carrying into effect any act of the national assembly providing for compulsory military training or military service for citizens of Nigeria.
ii.                  Until an act of the national assembly is made in that behalf, the president may maintain adequate facilities in any secondary or post-secondary educational institution in Nigeria for giving military training in any such institution which desires to have training.
MOTTO
The motto of the National Cadet Corps (Nigeria) shall be “DISCIPLINE & SERVICE”, “TO INSPIRE TO ACHIEVE”.

AFFILIATIONS
The National Cadet Corps (Nigeria) will seek affiliation with relevant Government Agencies, Youth Umbrella Bodies, NATIONAL and INTERNATIONAL Foundations or Agencies and Youth Organizations sharing similar objectives.
