Cadet meetings are categorized in levels based on the cadet hierarchy. There are two major types of meetings in the cadet programme
a.     Council meeting
b.     General meeting
a.     Council meetings:
The cadet programme has many types of council and these councils meet to discuss and plan the programme of the Association based on their levels in accordance with the rules of the constitution.
b.     General meeting :As part of the cadet programme, general meetings are based in levels. It in this meeting that the councils make known to their general house the plans they have and expect them to give their opinions like in the detachment, the detachment council make known to their detachment the plan they have made in their council, the battalion council meet with all the detachments that make up their battalion, etc.
Other meetings include:-
 Minor meeting:
This is otherwise called emergency meeting and this is had when there is need for meeting which falls outside the meeting plan as specified by the NCCN constitution.
PROCEDURES FOR MEETING
The cadet meeting is divided into 8 (eight).
     a.            Opening prayer
     b.            Correspondence
      c.            Minutes
     d.            Matters arising
      e.            Finance
       f.            A.O.B
     g.            Adjournment
     h.            Closing
a.     Opening:
This is divided into five (5) parts, which include the opening prayer, National Anthem, Cadet Anthem, cadet creed and opening remarks.
i.                   Opening prayer:
Morality has a lot to do with religion at this point the meeting begins with referencing the creator of the universe through the cadet prayer to guild and lead the meeting.
ii.                 National Anthem, Cadet Anthem and Cadet Creed:-
The cadet programme beginning a program that runs within the society, the following anthems further mentioned are song, in other to build in Cadets the spirit of other, respect for National Values, at this point one must recall that one of the aims of cadet is to develop considerably, the physical state of cadets through field drills and exercise, the sense of loyalty, patriotism, service and citizenship.
iii.              Opening remark:
At this time, the officer presiding the meeting welcomes the members with a motivational speech, and to energize the members on the way forward.
b.     Correspondences:-
This is the time the Cadet P.R.O presents messages for the movement from outside and within, after which the attendance follows. Then reports are had from members or detachments if in the battalion and battalions is in the command etc.
c.      Minutes:
This is when the secretary reads out all that were done in the last meeting as written down by him/her. Following the minutes is adoption. The adoption of minutes is done by any officer present in the last meeting; it is done to confirm that all written and read by the secretary were correct and discussed in the last meeting. After adoption the presiding officer signs the minutes of the last meeting to confirm it a working document. Adoptions are done in the following manner: “In the absence of no other correction, I -------------(name)-------------- move the motion for the minute the adoption at -----(time)---- and supported by any other officer present at the last meeting.
d.     Matters arising:-
At this time, the council presents all they have deliberated in the council meeting for the general house to react to it. In the part of council meeting, the secretary presents from the minutes the A.O.B and the officers bring up other suggestions for the council to deliberate on.
e.      Finance:-
Members are expected to pay their dues, and any other finance issues are raised.
f.       A.O.B:
The abbreviation A.O.B means “Any Other Business”. This is the time members who have anything to say that was not treated in the matters arising are expected to speak up. Note: AOB’s are not deliberated upon in the general meetings that is why there is no room for A.O.B in the council meeting.
g.     Adjournment -
The cadet P.R.O thus is expected at this time to make comments which will include, the venue for next meeting, etc. and the financial secretary also, comments on the financial status of the movement.
h.     Closing – as in opening, excluding remarks.
Note: during opening and closing members are expected to stand still without moving and during the minutes members sit without moving or walking up and down.
Quorum
Two-third (2/3) of the active members shall form a quorum for meetings and must include the commandant or his deputy, the secretary or his assistant and the treasurer / financial secretary.
·        Marshal arts
This is part of the NCCNprogramme, it is done to help cadets develop physically, and also build self defense tactics. At this point, one must recall that one of the aims of cadet is to develop considerably, the physical state of cadets through field drills and exercise, the sense of loyalty, patriotism, service and citizenship.
Note: Martial arts are coordinated by training officers.
·        Inspection
This is an important part of the cadet programme. Inspections are done at parades; cadets are expected to appear on their cadet complete uniform. Inspections are done monthly as specified by the NCCN constitution. Inspections are done by or coordinated by superiors as specified by the NCCN constitution (captains).
·        Parades:
Parade is one of the most important programmes of the cadet (NCCN). Through parade, cadets develop the value of order, respect for Authority, cleanliness and teamwork. At this point we must recall the four cadet cardinal values.
·        Lectures
This is one of the most important programmes of the NCCN lectures are organized in order to meet up with the Educational standard required to be a cadet. At this point, one must recall the meaning of the book in the Cadet logo.

GAMES/SOCIAL ACTIVITIES IN CADET
This are activities meant to attract the boys in cadet, It is a lively activities meant to make the boys happy e.g 
Ø Drill
Ø Games
Ø Band                                                                                                                        

Ø Boys night:-such gardering is meant to be during a camp period or enrolment programme.

Ø Diner night:-this type of social gathering is meant during holiday.

Ø Parent day:-on the special day, parent are invited to see what there son’s has learnt.

Ø Community service (C D S):-This is one thing that neglected the cadet, It gives room to practice voluntary services such as road traffic control.

Ø Excursion:-this means visiting some places such as ZOO,CENEMA, LAKE, etc

Ø Sports and games:-This are activities with growth effect to the boys.


OTHER ACTIVITIES
·        Anniversary
This is one of the most important programmes of the cadet (NCCN). it is marked every 10th day of October which is the birth date of the Association. The celebration is usually marked with parades, prayers for the well being of the association,
Cadets also recall all her members who had served the movement but no more among the living, prayers are also offered on their behalves.
·        Enrollment
This is one of the most important part of the NCCN, during enrollment, cadets opens their arms to receive new members officially. One important thing that is done on enrollments is the oath of membership.
·        Induction/commissioning of superiors and passing out parades:
This is one of the most important part of the cadet programmes. This is marked to celebrate the graduation of an X-boy to a superior. It is marked with parades by the outgoing X-boy, otherwise called passing out parade. It is also marked with oath of superiors.
·        Camp
This is one of the most important part of the cadet programme. Cadets gather together ones in areas for one week, for special trainings and lectures and courses. There are two types of camp in the NCCN, Basic camp and advanced camp.
v Basic camp: Basic camps are done in areas within the society mostly schools, it is characterized with lectures, training, basic courses etc.
v Advanced camp: this is otherwise called bush camp or adventure camp. It is head at bushes; it is characterized with adventures in bushes.


·        Conference
This is the most important programme of the NCCN it is a programme that involves all the superiors of the Association.
During this time, all superiors are expected to return home for the conference, in the conference, general issues concerning the association are discussed. Cadet has three types of conference:
a.     Minor conference: this is held ones every year. The superiors, during this programme meet to plan the way forward for the association.
b.     Major conference: the major conference is held ones in two (2) years. The association not only discussed the way forward but also reappoints officers to run the affairs of the state.
c.      Supreme conference:   the supreme conference is held ones in five (5) years. In this conference members not only discussed the way forward but also reappointment and constitution review.
